I did make coffee with my new coffee grinder and Hario V60! Okay I made six or seven cups of coffee in an effort to begin practicing for the tournament. The first few were pretty awful, but they were getting successfully better. I have been brewing the coffee sent to me from Marc, the roaster in India. It is the coffee from the farm I visited in the Shevroy Hills. Just as juicy as I remember :) and much better in a V60 than a regular drip machine.
While these are accomplishments, somehow I just would have enjoyed the satisfaction of knowing I had served real people coffee for six of the twelve hours instead. I miss working in a cafe! I am enjoying school, but somehow I long for being on my feet all day, making people smile, and smelling coffee in my hair when I come home.
