This semester I have been taking Arabic. As you can see from the lovely design and script of the word for Trees on the background of my website, I am madly in love.
However, I have taken a second lover. The more I learn about the Global Communications program at the Amercian University in Paris, the more I feel drawn to their community. I have researched many well-known programs around the world, and they all seem wonderful. But it is as if they have taken what previously felt like disultory parts of my personality and combined them into one masters program. I must go. I must do everything in my power to get there, because it is where I am destined to be.
Now, the question is whether to continue taking Arabic or switch to French. I really want to take both, but with a second job.. planning to leave the country, starting up research with an old professor again, and beginning to work on a community art afterschool engagement project.. can I add two new languages to that heap?
It is a dilemma worth having, but one that needs to be decided upon soon.
